Bamboo liners are optional and are great for easy cleanup of messes 💩. However, they don't absorb liquids. Instead, they allow liquids to pass through, while the inserts in the diaper catch and absorb the pee. Inserts are a must for ensuring your baby stays dry and comfortable!

Unfortunately, there is no lock or snap button for the liners. However, to prevent the disposable bamboo liners from moving around, place the liner flat on top of the cloth diaper, ensuring it covers the entire area where it will catch the most waste. Ensure the diaper is snugly fitted around your baby to help keep the liner in place. Some parents also tuck the edges of the liner slightly into the diaper for extra security. This should help prevent the liner from going out of place.

The primary difference is that double gusset cloth diapers have an additional elastic layer, providing extra leak protection. Single gussets have one elastic piece, typically offering 2.5-3.5 hours of protection. In contrast, double gussets have two elastic pieces, extending protection to 3.5-4.5 hours. Think of double gussets as extra 'insurance' against leaks.

Our nappies are designed to fit from newborn up to 3 years old (2-20kgs). They grow with your baby, providing a comfortable and adjustable fit throughout these early years.

Our cloth diapers are designed to fit babies from newborn up to 3 years old (2-20 kg). For a 5-month-old, if your baby is a heavy wetter, we recommend our double gusset version for extra leak guard protection. If you’re looking for something for daytime use, our single gusset nappies work great as well. Both options are excellent—it really depends on what works best for you and your baby. It might be helpful to try both and see which one you prefer.

The good news is that with the right washing process, you won’t have to worry about lingering smells or cross-contamination with other clothes.

We highly recommend washing cloth diapers separately from your regular laundry to ensure they get the thorough cleaning they need. This also helps prevent any potential transfer of odors or residue to other clothes.

We’ve compiled a detailed washing guide to help you through the process step by step. Following these tips should keep your nappies fresh and clean, ready for the next use!

Meenie & Co Care Guide

Our cloth diapers can hold up to 250ml of urine. For maximum absorbency, you can double the inserts or customize the absorbency based on your baby's needs.

For newborns who tend to pee frequently, it's best to change the diaper every 1-2 hours. For toddlers or older babies, you can change the diaper every 3-4 hours, or whenever the nappy feels heavy and full.

It's always a good idea to experiment and see what works best for your baby.

There are several factors that could cause leaks:

  • Fit: Ensure that the diaper fits snugly around your baby. For newborns, use the smallest snap setting to get a better fit in the crotch area.
  • Inserts: Check if the inserts are properly placed and adjusted. For heavy wetters or overnight use, consider doubling the inserts (e.g., one microfiber and one bamboo charcoal) for better absorbency.
  • Timing: Newborns often need frequent changes. It's best to change the diaper every 1-2 hours, or more frequently if it feels heavy. For older babies, changing every 3-4 hours may be sufficient.

Finding the right fit and combination may require some trial and error. Ensure the diaper is snug but not too tight, and always check the placement of the inserts.

We confidently believe that our cloth diapers offer great benefits for your baby, especially for those with sensitive skin. Not only are they gentle and effective, but they are also an eco-friendly choice, reducing single-use diaper waste. The bamboo liners are optional and are mainly used for easier cleanup of messes. You can use the cloth diaper without the liner if you prefer. The inserts are essential, as they are designed to absorb liquids. Each cloth diaper comes with one insert included. So, while bamboo liners can be helpful, they are not required for every use.

We recommend washing the cloth diapers before use. This helps remove any manufacturing residues and ensures they are clean and fully absorbent for your baby.

  • Microfiber Inserts: These have 3 layers of quick-absorbing microfiber cloth. They are highly absorbent and dry quickly, making them great for regular use.
  • Bamboo Charcoal Inserts: These feature 4 layers, with 2 inner layers of microfiber and 2 outer layers of bamboo charcoal. They are particularly suitable for heavy wetters due to better moisture distribution and added skin comfort. Bamboo charcoal is also gentle on sensitive skin and helps control odor.

For heavy wetters, we recommend doubling the inserts: place the microfiber insert on top and the bamboo charcoal insert on the bottom for maximum absorbency. Choose based on your baby's needs and comfort preferences.

Our cloth diapers feature a waterproof outer layer made of PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) and an Athletic Wicking Jersey inner layer that stays dry and dries quickly. For maximum absorbency and comfort, the inserts are crafted from a combination of microfiber and bamboo charcoal.
